The bookmark with the photo of Raphael's painting "Sogno del Cavalierie" from Rome, Italy.
Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (1483–1520), better known simply as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance. Together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period.
Hi, I'm Vaida from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania (Europe). This blog is about collecting bookmarks from all the world. There is a great variety of bookmarks and I have only a small part of it. I hope to have bookmarks from each country in the world.

Fontana di Trevi
The bookmark from Rome, Italy.
The Trevi Fountain (Italian: Fontana di Trevi) is a fountain in Rome, Italy.
The central figure of the fountain, in front of a large niche, is Neptune, god of the sea. He is riding a chariot in the shape of a shell, pulled by two sea horses. Each sea horse is guided by a Triton. One of the horses is calm and obedient, the other one restive. They symbolize the fluctuating moods of the sea.
Legend has it you will return to Rome if you throw a coin into the water. You should toss it over your shoulder with your back to the fountain.

Amalfi Cross
This is a very beautiful metallic bookmark from a small island of Malta. I've been to Malta two times and I can say - I love this island (hmm, I think I love all ISLANDS I've visited:)).
The Maltese cross or Amalfi cross identified as the symbol of an order of Christian warriors known as the Knights Hospitaller or Knights of Malta and through them came to be identified with the Mediterranean island of Malta and is one of the National symbols of Malta.

Romanian Flag
The woven handmade bookmark from Romania.
I'm happy to have good neighbours and I'm lucky that my neighbours are from Romania! This bookmark is their present for me :)
The national flag of Romania is a tricolour with vertical stripes: beginning from the flagpole, blue, yellow and red.
The flag is coincidentally very similar to the civil flag of Andorra and the state flag of Chad.
