My first bookmark
The first bookmark I bought in Prague, the Czech Republic. I found my first bookmark in a small shop, in the Golden Lane, one time known as the Street of Alchemists. This bookmark is made of a leather string and has metal figure of Golem and Star of David.
According to the legend, the Golem was an artificial creature created by magic, to serve its creator. The rabbi constructed the Golem out of clay from the banks of the Vltava river and brought it to life through rituals and Hebrew incantations to protect the Jewish community.
I also bought a paper bookmark on the Charles' Bridge (Karluv Most) It has a picture of the Old Town bridge tower.
